We are building a network of professionals and individuals, who step by step, are changing the world.
Together Against Human Trafficking! We want to reach victims, where they are and support them.
Who is it for?
Blue Network is dedicated to bring help and support to victims of human trafficking and modern day slavery and also victims of other crimes that could be leading to crime of human trafficking or be connected to it.
We reach out to victims of any gender and nationality, who was trafficked to Poland, to Polish nationals, when they are returning home straight after abuse, but also reaching to those who are stuck where they are for a shorter period of time (e.g. when police is running investigation and needs them to testify where they are, away from home).
What is it?
We called this project a ‘Blue Network’, as there is a few important associations and meanings to that. Blue Line is known as an emergency number for victims of domestic violence. It is also known within law enforcement as ‘thin blue line’ – a symbol of separating society from the criminal world, by thin blue line of law enforcement / policeman.
Connecting these blue lines in strategic places gives us a NET. Blue Network. We connect institutions and people helping victims of crimes and those who want to prevent these crimes. This Network will help safely ‘catch’ those who need help, protecting them like a trampoline, from a harmful fall.
What this network is also associated with is what you can see far away in the darkness, the blue alarming light in which, those who bring help are equipped in: police, ambulance, fire trucks.
How does it work?
When a person arrives at the police station and wants to go back home to her/his family locally, without staying in any safe house or intervention center – we create a network of people that will be in touch with that person, supporting her/him in their needs.
In other situation, when police is running an investigation and a person needs to stay close to where the investigation is operated, our network people will assist, making sure she/him will have food, place to sleep, psychological and any other needed support.
Who can join the Network?
We are building the network of:
– Local Intervention Coordinator in every Voivodeship (district), connected and working closely with local Anti Trafficking Voivodeship Teams. They are created of: administrative representatives, police, border agency (SG), prosecutor, NGOs, Social Services, etc.
– Pastors, priests, counselors, leaders, NGOs, specialists etc.
– Volunteers, specialists, like: psychologists, doctors, lawyers, teachers, therapists, social workers and local activists who like to join us in providing direct help to the victims, or local prevention activities.
In return, we give access to our tools, trainings, webinars, that will be provided by other members of the network, who are specialised in trainings and workshops of different kind.
